Divorce + Dancing + 1912 = NYT

by Marie Fahnert

DancingCouple_opt In January 2, 1912, Viola Hudson – a Chicago native in Reno for a divorce – made the New York Times headlines for dancing the “bird trot” and “turkey trot” with an unrelated man.

It seems kind of extreme to make the New York Times for dancing. On the other hand, if the dancing was as racy as the cha-cha in this video, maybe it’s not so shocking Ms. Hudson made the news.

Happy Holidays!!!

I was led to this site today after reading your article on “10 signs of a bad divorce lawyer.” I’ve practiced family law in California for thirty years. Recently, I spent a lot of time online looking at sites related to divorce. This one is, without doubt, the best I’ve come across so far.

There are several posts to this site that I’ll feel compelled to comment on. I’ll probably continue to comment to get whatever it is I have to say out of my system – whether you publish or not.
